lyrics

My Head and Me

My head sometimes writes rhymes for me and plays them on repeat
We're close as this, my head and me, so I find them really sweet.

My head sometimes writes tunes for me, but oft forgets the words
And we sing off-key, my head and me; together be we nerds.

But when we fight
Oh, my
I cry at night,
The lights just won't go out
And when we're sad, a frequent fad
We land
Hand in hand
In our euphorian drought

My  mind sometimes writes poetry and sings it in my sleep
Too inseparable we may be;
We're in it far too deep

My mind sometimes plays messenger in one dark-coloured fez.
It clears its throat and combs my fur, and through my mouth it says:

“Oh, it’ ain’t never the same, child.”

The End.
